  Educational Qualification: The educational qualifications for the UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) positions in the Confidential, Clerk, and Accounts Cadres are as follows:

  • For the position of SI (Confidential), candidates are required to have a graduate degree along with proficiency in typing, shorthand, and completion of a computer course. This combination of academic and practical skills ensures that candidates possess the necessary knowledge and technical capabilities for the responsibilities associated with the Confidential Cadre.
  • For the role of ASI (Clerk), candidates should hold a graduate degree and demonstrate proficiency in typing, supported by the completion of a computer course. This educational background emphasizes both academic qualifications and practical skills essential for efficient clerical duties within the Uttar Pradesh Police Force.
  • For the position of ASI (Accounts), candidates must possess a B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) degree, complemented by the successful completion of a computer course. This educational requirement is tailored to ensure that individuals in the Accounts Cadre have a strong foundation in financial and accounting principles, coupled with the technical proficiency to utilize computer systems effectively.

  Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Criteria for UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) – Male:

  The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) criteria for prospective UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) candidates vary for males and females. For male candidates falling under the UR/OBC/EWS category, the specified height is 163 cm, and the chest measurements should be 77 cm, expandable by 5 cm. In contrast, male candidates from the SC/ST category should have a height of 156 cm and a chest measurement of 75 cm, expandable by 5 cm.

  Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Criteria for UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) – Female:

  For female candidates in the UR/OBC/EWS category, the required height is 150 cm, accompanied by a minimum weight of 40 kg. Similarly, female candidates from the SC/ST category should maintain a height of 145 cm, with a minimum weight of 40 kg. These meticulous physical standards delineate the prerequisites for successfully completing the Physical Measurement Test, emphasizing the importance of meeting these specific criteria based on gender and category.

  UP Police SI Vacancy 2023-24 Application Fees

  A non-refundable application fee of ₹400 is applicable for all candidates. The payment can be made through SBI Bank. Fee can be paid through Online mode during the submission of the online application form by using a Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank using fee payment Challan.

UP Police ASI Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility of any exam is determined by the educational qualification, age limit, relevant work experience, nationality etc. Candidates, before applying for any exam must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criterias by the recruiting board in the official notification. Likewise, candidates aspiring for the UP Police ASI Clerk must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criterias in every respect.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible in terms of educational qualification, a candidate must be:

• Graduate in any discipline
• Must have the following typing speed in either English Hindi language
  • 30 words per minute in English or
  • 25 words per minute in Hindi
• NIELIT O Level Certificate

Age Limit

Age limit is the age group set by the recruitment board under which the candidate will be eligible to apply.

Candidates must be within the age limit of 21 years to 28 years to be eligible for UP Police ASI Clerk. Relaxations are applicable category wise which is listed out below

Relevant Work Experience

The board has not mentioned any mandatory criteria to have relevant experience. Hence freshers are eligible to apply for this post.

The candidate should be either:

• an Indian citizen
• a Tibetan refugee migrated to India permanently before 1st January 1962
• an Indian origin person migrated permanently to India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania.
